Russian football manager Andrey Alekseyevich Chernyshov has put his pen on paper to lead Mohammedan SC for the upcoming season of I-League. Andrey Chernyshov will be replacing Shankarlal Chakraborty for the position of head coach.
Mohammedan SC is said to have interviewed two Spanish coaches and a Scottish manager who have the experience of coaching in the first and second tiers of Indian football before coming to this decision.
Mohammedan SC finished 6th in the previous season and will be looking to up the amp in the upcoming season under the reign of the new Russian gaffer, after having consecutively changed their head coaches previously and parting ways with José Hevia, their previous gaffer.
Andrey Alekseyevich Chernyshov has worked with clubs such as FC Spartak Moscow, FC Dinamo Tbilisi, FC Vitebsk, FK Spartak Subotica, and so on. He has also managed the Russian u21 team and been the assistant manager to the Russian senior national team.
In his playing days, he’s plied his trades as a centre-half with clubs such as Dynamo Moscow, Royal Antwerp FC, BSV Bad Bleiberg, PAOK Thessaloniki, and so on.
