According to multiple reports, Mumbai City FC has acquired the documents of CY Goddard on a probable temporary transfer. The former Japanese U-16 National Team player has as impressive resume which might make him one of the biggest acquisitions of the star studded Mumbai City lineup.
MCFC were in a frantic search for the mandatory AFC affiliated player, and as it seems, their search have reached an fruitful end. CY Goddard is an England born dual nationality player who has graduated from the Tottenham youth setup. He then joined Benevento Calcio in the Serie B, the team which eventually won the league in the last season and will be knocking the doors of Serie A having earned a promotion.
Goddard was loaned out for the season in the Cypriot top flight side Pafos FC. The 23 year old midfielder played 6 games for the team and earned an assist to his name. Having ticked the mandatory AFC slot, Mumbai City FC are surely a force to reckon.
