Narayan Das set to leave Odisha FC and join Jamshedpur FC.

It will be homecoming for Narayan Das as he started his career in the TFA academy. He then joined development side of AIFF, Pailan Arrows. He made his ISL debut for FC Goa when he was on loan from Dempo in 2014. He had short stints with East Bengal and FC Pune City. He returned back to Goa in 2017 before making a move to the Capital city. Narayan continued next season at Odisha FC after Delhi Dynamos moved to Odisha.

Narayan Das was first choice left back of Stephen Constantine. He has represented India 29 times at senior level after making his debut against Nepal in 2013. His only goal for National team came against Puerto Rico in a friendly.

Narayan had a good season with Odisha FC and he featured in all games for the Juggernauts. He made 39 tackles and 93 clearances. Narayan is known for his defensive abilities and work rate but definitely there’s scope for him to improve in the offensive part of his game as modern football demands fullbacks who are good at making overlapping runs and fizzing crosses in the box. Narayan managed to grab only one assist last season.

Jamshedpur FC aren’t the only club who wanted to sign Narayan Das as Chennaiyin FC were closely monitoring the developments. But it is unlikely that Narayan Das will join Chennaiyin FC as they have already extended the contract of Jerry Lalrinzuala.

After appointing Owen Coyle as new head coach, Jamshedpur FC are now negotiating terms with players and are set to finalize players by the end of the month. They have roped in star striker Nerijus Valskis as per reports. David Grande and Aitor Monroy already have contract with the club.
