Lalthathanga Khawlhring (Puitea) is all set to join Kerala Blasters. Puitea played really well under Eelco Schattorrie when he was Northeast United FC’s head coach. Will he be able to repeat the same at Kerala Blasters?
The 21 years old midfielder who can also play on wings started his career at Bethlehem Vengthlang, A club which plays in the Mizoram Premier League. Then he moved to west, signing for DSk Shivajians. After signing for Northeast United FC, he was loaned out to Aizawl FC. He had a successful stint with the former I League Champions.
In the 5th season of Hero ISL, Puitea made his mark. He was regular in Eelco’s team which finished 4th in the League. Under Robert Jarni, Puitea wasn’t at his best. In 2 ISL seasons, Puitea has 2 assists and decent passing accuracy of 71%.
