Official: Kerala Blasters Sign Center Back Sandeep Singh

Indian Super League side, Kerala Blasters have signed Sandeep Singh from TRAU FC. Sandeep will be a part of the KBFC squad for the Indian Super League 2020-21 season.

Sandeep started his youth career at his hometown in Imphal, Manipur. He later moved to the esteemed Shillong Lajong set-up in 2012. He rose up the ranks and penned down his first professional contract at Lajong.

This news comes after a report, which emerged recently linking him to the Kochi based club. Sandeep Singh, who primarily plays as a Center Back will join Kerala Blasters FC from his former Manipuri based I-League club – TRAU FC.

Sandeep standing at 1.7 meters in height, possesed some stunning defensive stats last season, averaging more than 12 challenges, 6 interceptions & 3 tackles every game! Add 81% passing accuracy out of 488 passes in just 11 appearances for TRAU this season to it, Sandeep surely looks to be an important player with phenomenal work rate. Training along with the best will be crucial for his development. Under Coach Kibu Vicuna’s coaching staff, it seems like he is destined for greater things. It would be delightful if he is successful in the Indian Super League.

Kerala Blasters FC are expected to make more of the signing, following a player exodus post the departure of coach former head coach, Eelco Schattorie.
