With Deshorn Brown’s move to the Highlanders’ side, they clutched an enticing win against Jamshedpur FC and the goalscorers were Ashutosh Mehta, Deshorn Brown for NorthEast United FC and Peter Hartley for Jamshedpur FC. Owen Coyle said,
“Obviously, we haven’t been playing as well as we have been in the initial matches. It’s the terrible individual errors that are costing us the goals. Both the goals were avoidable, but then we had loads of chances that we’re not taking advantage of.”
Owen Coyle further disagreed that his team was sloppy throughout the game and claimed that his team deserved to get something out of the second half performance and emphasized once more on the matter of individual errors
Owen Coyle also denounced the fact that the referee refused to stop the play when one of his players were injured and down for six minutes in the pitch.
On the matter of giving away easy goals, Owen Coyle said,
“We just need to get back into the training ground and do what we’ve been doing initially. We’ve go to work harder and make sure we attain the clean-sheets in the following games like we used to before. It doesn’t make us feel great to give away easy goals but we’re going pick ourselves up and rectify our mistakes. There are ample games ahead from which we can gain points, we have to be ready to win them.”
Owen Coyle signed off by saying that Jamshedpur FC haven’t looked at any players to be brought in in this January transfer window.
