Jamshedpur FC has lost two games in a row after tonight’s heavy defeat against FC Goa on a 3-0 scoreline. Jamshedpur FC lost to Kerala Blasters FC in their previous match on a 3-2 scoreline. FC Goa managed to notch a win and a cleansheet despite Nawaz and Angulo not starting for the side. Jorge Ortiz scored a brace and Ivan Gonzalez also added to the tally by scoring the third goal for them.

Owen Coyle said,

“I think the two-week break that we had hindered the rhythm that we had going in our team. Also, I think tonight not every player were able to give their one hundred per cent, but we had to play them, given the injuries that we had since the start of the season. But that being said, we had some wonderful chances that were denied tonight, I think their goal-keeper was the man of the match. We had five to six wonderful opportunities, and their keeper made fantastic saves. We could have done better defensively.”

Owen Coyle said that in terms of certain stats, his side were matching upto the level of FC Goa’s but the style of play of the latter dominated over his team, Coyle agreed.

Owen Coyle continued,

“I don’t think we went off-guard with our tactics. What we didn’t do was take our chances properly. FC Goa’s a very good side. We had defensive mistakes and some individual mistakes collectively. Other than that, we knew what we had to do and I don’t think we went off-guard with our tactics.”

Owen Coyle said that the team performed in a level which was below the usual standards of his team and that he is open to criticisms as he is sure that his team will pick themselves up strongly for the next game and perform better.

Owen Coyle signed off by saying it was demoralising to have Alex Lima sent off from the game.
