The Highlanders will be taking on the Islanders in the first match of the season. Northeast United have made some interesting signings this season. After retaining their midfield maestro Federico Gallego, they roped in experienced foreigners like Benjamin Lambot, Idrissa Sylla, Kwesi Appiah and Khassa Camara.

Their Indian contingent also looks solid. They snapped up Rochharzela, Ashutosh Mehta and VP Suhair from I League clubs. All 3 of them had a fantastic season in the I League. Under Gerard Nus, Northeast United are looking stronger than last season and are set to fight for the title. Before that, The club has made an important announcement in commercial aspects.

Northeast United FC have announced the association of Parimatch News as the Main Sponsor for Season 7 of the Hero ISL. “We are delighted to have Parimatch News with us as our main sponsor. They are a vibrant brand whose mission and vision are aligned with ours, and we are confident that that this will be a successful partnership.”, said Priya Runchal, Executive Director, NEUFC.

Northeast United Football Club, the Guwahati based franchise representing the 8 northeastern states will begin their 7th Hero ISL campaign against Mumbai City FC on Saturday, the 21st of November 2020.
