Player Ratings – ATK Mohun Bagan vs FC Goa

In a nail-biting clash between the Gaurs and the Mariners, a foul committed by FC Goa’s defender Aiban Dohling became the game decider. The penalty was taken by Roy Krishna and he didn’t miss.

Juan Ferrando’s side started with a 4-3-3 formation while Antonio Habas’ team looked more defensive, approaching with a 5-3-2 formation.

Let’s have a look at how players fared in the game-

Arindam Bhattacharja – 8/10

Arindam showed his excellent performance in the goal. He faced 4 shots on goals and saved all. The Bengali custodian played a crucial role in keeping the clean sheet.

Pritam Kotal – 7/10

Pritam Kotal was solid as the rock at the back but he took a yellow card for a foul made. He made 2 clearances and 2 successful tackles.

Sandesh Jhingan – 7.5/10

Sandesh Jhingan was good at the backline as he made 4 important clearances. His presence in defence was very appreciable to help the team earn the clean sheet.

Tiri – 7.5/10

Tiri played an influential role in the defence. He covered all defensive areas ensuring FC Goa doesn’t get the chance to get into the box and find the net.

Subhasish Bose – 7.5/10

Full back Subhasish Bose made his run through the wings to help the team push forward. Defensively, he made 4 clearances and 3 blocks.

Carl McHugh – 8/10

McHugh was seen in a rather free role as he made runs while attacking and dropped deep down when ATKMB defended. He made 3 successful interceptions and created one chance. He was awarded as Hero of the Match.

Jayesh Rane – 7/10

Midfielder Jayesh Rane wasn’t too successful to impress on the field as he made just a cross and one successful tackle.

Pronay Halder – 7/10

Partnering with McHugh in midfield, Halder created two goal-scoring chances. He was very lucky, as after committing 4 fouls he didn’t have to see a booking.

Roy Krishna – 8/10

The Fijian who has been the flag-bearer for the team since one and a half season, scored a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. FC Goa’s defender Aiban’s tackle on him was awarded as a penalty and at the same moment, it was fixed that the 3 points will be bagged by ATK Mohun Bagan, though Goa were seemingly unhappy.

David Williams – 7/10

The fierce striker Williams made his best attempts to force FC Goa’s defence to make mistakes. Out of 4 shots, 3 were off target and he failed to find a goal in this match. We rate him 7 out of 10.

Substitutes –

Edu Garcia – 7/10

SK Sahil – Unrated

Prabir Das – 7.5/10
