On contrary to their rivals, Hyderabad FC played a much better match, especially when compared to their own levels from the previous season. There wasn’t much sharpness in their attack though, but their defense was rock solid which was one of the key reasons because of which they were able to hold on to a draw against a star-studded Bengaluru attack. Although it can be arguable that Hyderbad could have got all three points if their key foreigners would not have been injured in the first half of the game.
Subrata Paul – 7.5/10:
The Spiderman as he is known, except for a rare mistake, was good enough to save his team from conceding a goal with his perfect techniques and experience as he held on to keep a clean sheet in today’s match.
Akash Mishra – 7/10:
The young full-back has been promising since his first match for HFC and was a good performer in this match as well.
Chinglensana Singh – 8.5/10:
No stopping Sana Singh as he was doing all the stopping tonight. With headers after headers and tackles after tackles, a composed and matured performance, leading the defensive line, in his Debut match for Hyderabad. He was the standout performer for Hyderabad. Not to mention, he was also awarded the Hero of the Match for today’s game.
Odei – 7.5/10:
Odei was solid at the back along with Sana and partnered him very well to balance out a wonderful defensive display from Hyderabad FC.
Asish Rai – 7.5/10:
Another young full-back who has been promising for Hyderabad delivered in this match as well, with few vital clearances and tackles and his overlapping runs and crosses into the box.
Joao Victor – 7/10:
Victor as expected did put in some shift in the midfield and was pretty decent in the middle of the pitch for the team from Hyderabad.
Luis Sastre – 6.5/10:
Sastre was another man in the Hyderabad midfield of whom much was expected and so was he delivering but was unfortunate enough to be subbed off due to an early injury.
Holicharan Narzary – 7.5/10:
Narzary has been one of the most improved players we’ve seen this season. With a 10/10 work rate on the left-hand side, from supporting the defense to joining hand in the attack. With a few silky dribbles and a few good passes, Narzary had a pretty good game for his team.
Joel Chianese – 7/10:
Another player who Hyderabad missed out on for the entire 90 was Chianese. This man was probably the best attacker on the pitch for Hyderabad but only for a while as a twisted ankle got him off the pitch early in the game. Without a doubt, though it can be argued that the game could have gone towards Hyderbad FC, had this man been able to stay on the pitch for a while more.
Nikhil Poojari – 6/10:
One of the favorites of HFC Fans, Nikhil Poojary, did not have the best of his games tonight but had put in his efforts to get out a win for his team.
Aridane Santana – 6.5/10:
According to the rating, Aridane looks to have had a decent game, but that is surely not the case as we would like to see a lot more from a striker of his quality.
SUBSTITUTES: Yasir – 6/10, Liston Colaco – 6.5/10, Hitesh Sharma – 6.5/10.
