Player Ratings: FC Goa vs Bengaluru FC 1 1

Suresh Singh Wangjam – 8.5

Suresh was indeed in an inspired form as he took up the midfield by storm. Be it building the attacks or defending deep, he doubled up and was the most impressive BFC custodian in the last game. Box to box abilities and man marking made Suresh a regular starter in Coach Cuadrat’s BFC.

Cleiton Silva – 8

The Brazilian made his mark in the league with an exquisite finish in the first half. Cletion Silva’s goal gave Bengaluru FC the upper hand.

Juanan Gonzalez – 7.5

The defender added to his team’s tally with another goal. His goal ensured that Bengaluru FC were in a comfortable winning position but only to end up in a dismay as the defensive lapses helped Goa to equalize.

Erik Paartalu – 7.5

The ever experienced Big E dominated the midfield in the first half. His presence gave BFC a super strong spine in the midfield. His clinical assist was pretty crucial at that pint of time.

Ashique Kuruniyan – 7.5

We can now say that, the modern day winger has comfortably adapted to the Left back position. He got a shot on target early in the game, which was saved by Nawaz. His agility gave him a good edge as he is eyeing to solidify his name in the teamsheet.

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu – 7

As bankable as the Great wall of India is with respect to the long rangers, he somewhat missed a bit of luck with the close range affairs. After conceding one in the 66th minute, GSS yet again let go a controversial 69th minute equalizer scored by Angulo. Gurpreet was also seen bettering his distribution with those long shots.

Harmanjot Khabra – 7

The versatile Khabra slotted in as the makeshift Right back for BFC. His throw in was crucial as it led to a goal. He played for the full 90 minutes also earning 3 clearances to his name.

Sunil Chhetri – 6.5

The Captain fantastic is yet to get rolling as we could not witness the Chhetri magic on the pitch last game. He missed out a couple of golden opportunities albeit he found the right spaces. The finishing seemed to be lacking and it will definitively get better as the season progresses.

Fran Gonzalez – 6.5

Fran barged into the limelight after winning I League with Mohun Bagan FC. The defender was acquired by BFC around the end of the transfer window. Fran was quite decent in the back 4. The Spanish defender was decent with his passing and ended the game with 5 clearances to his name

Udanta Singh – 6

Udanta is probably at the most important juncture of his career as this season can prove to be a game changer for the Flash. The first game was not as good as he would have wanted as he could only record 21 passes with an accuracy of around 50%.

Kristian Opseth – 6

The newest recruit hailing from Norway couldn’t make a name for himself as he was substituted out just after the half time. The passing accuracy was merely 33% and a couple of fouls made him return to the dugout quite early.

SUBSTITUTES

Deshorn Brown – 6.5
Rahul Bheke – 6
Dimas Delgado- 7.5
Pratik Chaudhari – 6
Leon Asokan – (unrated) came in late
