Player Ratings – Jamshedpur FC vs Chennaiyin FC


A cracker of a competition between Jamshedpur FC and Chennaiyin FC saw the latter getting the better of the prior in today’s match. Chennaiyin FC notched an away win on their first game of the season by scoring two goals and conceding one. Conceded two goals but had done some important saves preventing his side from drowning in a rain of goals.

Mandi was not too bright on the field, as he wasn’t able to plug the influx of runs on the wing.

P. Hartley (6.5/10) –
Was putting up a decent performance but missed couple of chances and got injured early on in the game.

S. Eze (7.5/10) –
Was a formidable presence in the back line of Jamshedpur FC but did a few good chances of scoring goals.

L. Renthlei (7/10) –
Similar to Mandi, Renthlei didn’t turn out to be too bright on the pitch and didn’t seem as active on the right flank.

J. Singh (7/10) –
Was a decent support in the double pivot system for Aitor Monroy.

A. Monroy (8/10) –
Playmaker of the side. Created a lot of chances through the set-pieces he had taken. Unfortunately, weren’t converted.

I. Vanmalsawma (7/10) –
His runs on the left flank didn’t turn out to be as helpful for the team. The left flank on a whole seemed weak for Jamshedpur FC.

Alex (7/10) –
In simple words, didn’t live upto the hype. Wasn’t able to do the job which he was supposed to do.

Jackichand (7.5/10) –
Put up a decent performance and delivered some good crosses. Had an assist.

N. Valskis (8/10) –
Goalscorer, but couldn’t help the team climb back up.

Chennaiyin FC (Away side)

V. Kaith (goalkeeper) (6.5/10) –
Had a few goalkeeping errors, didn’t face much shots on target.

Lalchhuanmawia (7/10) –
Could not spark up the left flank as much as expected from the player.

E. Sipović (7.5/10) –
Formidable in the back line. Saved a goal from an empty net.

E. Sabiá (7.5/10) –
Strong presence in the back line of the side. Had a few chances to score goals but couldn’t convert the headers.

R. Singh (7/10) –
Was average in the flanks. Seemed like could not establish his presence in the wings.

A. Thapa (8.5/10) –
Opened the scoreline, direct shoot. Was of great support in the double pivot system.

D. Tangri (6.5/10) –
Was involved in too many fouls and didn’t make much of an impact in the match.

L. Chhangte (7/10) –
Put up a good performance. Could not convert the crosses but had some shots of targets that were saved.

R. Crivellaro (8/10) –
Scintillating performance. Playmaker for the side. Unfortunately, got himself a yellow card.

E. Gonçalves (8/10) –
Did not live upto the hype and if it was not for the penalty, he would have just been a strong physical presence on the pitch in the final third.

J. Sylvestr (7/10) –
Missed some good chances. Wasn’t able to convert and hadn’t done the job properly.
