Jamshedpur FC finally put an end to Northeast United’s unbeaten run in the 7th edition of the Indian Super League, Thanks to Aniket Jadhav’s neat right footed strike which flew beyond Gurmeet who was rooted to his spot. The action packed contest ended 1-0 in the favour of Jamshedpur FC at the Tilak Maidan stadium in Vasco.

Jamshedpur FC

Rehenesh TP – 8

Switching to the colors of Jamshedpur has certainly helped the 27-year-old custodian regain his confidence. Rehenesh has been outstanding so far for his club making vital saves at crucial moments. The Kerala born keeper pulled off a spectacular save to deny Idrissa Sylla from the spot. The former Kerala Blasters goalkeeper has had his critics but this season he has been faultless.

Dinliana – 7

The fullback who joined Jamshedpur FC back in the summer has been a handy addition to Owen Coyle’s side. Dinliana plays a critical role in both attack and defense. His workrate is commendable as he keeps bombing up and down the rightern flank throughout the entire duration of the match. Today although he wasn’t mightly involved Dinliana did his job well enough coming into the starting 11 after his suspention

Stephen Eze – 8

The Nigerian center back is having a dream start to his career in India. His towering presence and aerial ability has been beneficial for Jamshedpur FC. His partnership with Peter Hartley at the heart of Jamshedpur FC’s Defense has been excellent. The 26 year old had an amazing game in both defense and attack apart from conceding a penalty, Which was saved by his goalkeeper Rehenesh TP

Peter Hartley – 7.5

Peter Hartley’s commitment and hardwork for his team is their for everyone to see. True leader and an inspirational figure at the back, Hartley successfully blocked every threat that Northeast United managed to create.

Ricky – 7

Ricky had another solid game. He started many useful attacks from the left and was instrumental in clearing the ball away from danger. Ricky made a lot of overlapping runs into the attacking third which contributed towards the steady supply of crosses into the box looking for their top marksmen Nerijus Valskis but unfortunately the crosses were well dealt with by the Northeast United Defense.

Mobashir – 7

This raising talent’s work goes unnoticed. Mobashir is the Jamshedpur born footballer in Jamshedpur FC’s squad. The talented midfielder made many crucial tackles and interceptions in the middle of the park and started many dangerous attacks through the middle. Mobashir came close to scoring in the 19th minute of the match but unfortunately his shot lacked accuracy.

Isaac – 7.5

Isaac is another key player to this Jamshedpur FC setup. After a headclash with Northeast United full back Ashutosh, The pacey winger had to undergo treatment several times to stop the bleeding on his head. But the determined youngster continued to whipping in crosses and freekicks untill he was replaced by Sandip Mandi.

Jacki – 7.5

The experienced winger was seen in a different role in the clash against Northeast United, as he was partnering the Lithuanian upfront. With William missing out, Owen Coyle experimented Jackichand Singh in that role which nearly paid off as Jacki came ever so close to scoring when his misdirected cross rattled the bar.

Aniket – 8

Aniket Jadhav was the hero of the night. His second half strike was the difference between both the sides. The Goal against Northeast United FC was his second goal in the Indian Super league. Had he managed to add the finishing touches Aniket could have scored a potential goal of the season.

Alex Lima – 7.5

The Brazilian with his outstanding passing ability was influencial in Jamshedpur FC’s midfield. He was able to fill the gap which was left by Spaniard Aitor Monroy.

Nerijus Valskis – 6

The Lithuanian striker had a night to forget. Northeast United defense Marked Nerijus Valskis tightly and didn’t let him have any space in front of goal. The Northeast United defense were well aware of his goalscoring ability and successfully managed to keep him away from the scoresheet.

Northeast United

Gurmeet – 7

This young goalkeeper has cemented his place in Northeast United’s starting lineup. Gurmeet has managed to keep an experienced keeper like Subhashish Roy out of the playing 11. Gurmeet has been one of the finds of the season so far.

Ashutosh – 7

Rock solid at right fullback, Ashutosh Mehta again had a brilliant outing against Jamshedpur FC. The former Mohun Bagan right back is proving to be an outstanding signing for the highlanders.

Dylan Fox – 7.5

Northeast United’s Australian Import is turning out to be a great investment. The 26 year old has managed to form a formidable defensive partnership along with Benjamin Lambot. Dylan Fox is one of the only few Asian players impressing so far in the tournament.

Benjamin Lambot – 7.5

The Belgian center back is having a great start to the season. Benjamin Lambot is already one of the most influencial and outstanding defender to ever play for Northeast United FC. The center back won the crucial penalty which his teammate Idrissa Sylla failed to Convert.

Gurjinder – 7

The Left back has been impressive so far with his defensive skills for Northeast United FC. Gurjinder has made the left back spot his own keeping out Rakesh Pradhan, Who was one of the best players for Northeast United last season.

Apuia – 7

Apuia Ralte is one of the brightest talents in the country. Wearing the Captain’s armband at the age of 20 speaks volumes about his ability and potential. Apuia is one of the best talents in India. Although he was dispossessed on a few occasions Apuia had a decent game against Jamshedpur FC

Khassa Camara – 7.5

The Mauritanian Defensive midfielder has been the central figure in Northeast United’s Midfield. The 28 year old is not afraid to make a challenge or to take a long range shot. In Khassa Camara Northeast United FC have found a perfect replacement for the Colombian Leudo.

Kwesi Appiah – 6.5

Coach Gerard Nus chose Kwesi Appiah ahead of Luis Machado for the clash against Jamshedpur FC. But it turned out to be disappointment. Both Appiah and Sylla were closely monitored by the Jamshedpur FC Defense. By playing two strikers upfront Northeast United Sacrificed Luis Machado’s Creative and set piece ability.

Rochharzela – 7

Chhara has adjusted quickly to the Indian Super League. He made plenty of runs through the leftern side. Northeast United were unable to utilize his lung busting sprints.

Ninthoi – 7

The Youngster worked hard throughout the match. Jamshedpur FC were causing constant threat to Northeast United forcing Ninthoi to go into a deeper role and help out his right fullback. Although he had made a few pacey runs Ninthoi couldn’t cause much trouble to the sturdy Jamshedpur FC Defense

Idrissa Sylla – 6.5

The Ghanian Striker had an unsatisfactory outing against Jamshedpur FC’s. Sylla is creating chances for his side but unfortunately his finishing hasn’t been upto the mark. His night went from bad to worse, When his spot kick was saved by the Jamshedpur FC Goalkeeper.
