The two teams were tough to separate as the full time whistle was blown ending the game in a stalemate. Mumbai City FC hosted Jamshedpur FC at GMC Stadium Bambolim, their makeshift home venue for the season as they were aiming to keep up their winning streak.
Jamshedpur FC shocked the Islanders with an early goal, courtesy of a Valskis brilliance. Jackichand was quick enough to convert the missed pass into an assist which placed the visitors in a commanding position. Mumbai City FC were quick to bounce back as Bartholomew Ogbeche gave them the equalizer just within a span of 6 minutes.
Tables turned in favor of Mumbai City FC when Aitor Monroy was shown his second yellow card which brought down Jamshedpur FC to a 10 man side. The islanders barged in attacks after attacks but couldn’t convert some crucial chances.
There were some stellar defensive performances from the men of steel with Peter Hartley being named as the Hero of the match. Although they had a huge advantage, favourites Mumbai City FC couldn’t capitalize over Jamshedpur FC as they ended the game in a tough fought 1-1 draw.
