Mumbai City FC took on league debutants SC East Bengal at the GMC Stadium today and absolutely dominated the game, winning 3-0. Robbie Fowler’s side looked clueless for most parts of the match as the Mumbai City attack relentlessly kept going at the East Bengal defense.

Sergio Lobera made some changes in the lineup on rotational basis as Cy Goddard, Sarthak Golui and Farukh Choudhary made way for Bipin Singh, Vignesh Dakshinamurthy and Ahmed Jahouh who returned from his suspension. The Islanders put on a show as Adam Le Fondre’s brace and Hernan Santana’s strike was enough to give Mumbai the 3 points.

SC East Bengal lost their second match on the trot as the skipper Danny Fox was subbed off early in the match after he picked up an injury. The final third product was simply missing and their seemed to be no creativity from their end. The Indian contingent disappointed as they couldn’t match the level of their opponents.
