5. Prince Ibara

Bengaluru FC

Prince Ibara joined Bengaluru FC before the start of their AFC Cup group stage matches but unfortunately didn’t make it to the final list of players who travelled to Maldives to play the group stage fixtures. Prince is a player who regularly features for his national team and one of the leading forwards of his country. Congolese forward started his football career in 2014 with his country’s football club called ACNFF where he didn’t get much game time as a result of which he moved to another African club based in Gabon called AS Pelican where he played 6 games and scored a goal in each game.

Later the young forward moved to Tunisia where he had a short stint with CA Bizertin, registering his name on the scoresheet seven times in 19 games. After having short stints with multiple African football clubs he shifted his focus towards Asia and was signed by Qatari Stars League club Al-Wakrah. After his Asian stint he returned back to his continent to represent USM Alger, a club in Algeria. Before joining Bengaluru FC he had stints in Belgium, France and Azerbaijan.

Prince Ibara is a striker who will perfectly fit into the system of Marco, as he is tall and fast in his movements and can be in the right place at the right time to score goals. He is good with both his feet and can score headers as well as long rangers. The biggest advantage is that he is a young foreign striker which is a rare sight in the ISL. It would be interesting to see how Ibara will link upfront with the likes of Silva, Udanta and Leon.
