Punjab FC, the newly promoted ISL side has completed the signings of Greek defender Dimitrios Chatziisaias, and French midfielder Madih Talal, IFTWC can confirm.
Thus, Punjab FC have now completed their six foreign player quotaallowed in the ISL. They are in the form of Nepalese goalkeeper Kiran Kumar Limbu, Greek defender Dimitrios Chatziisaias, Spanish midfielder Juan Mera, French midfielder Madih Talal, Slovenian forward Luka Majcen, and Colombian striker Wilmar Jordan.
The 30-year-old Dimitrios Chatziisaias, standing at an enormous 1.93 meters, was offered a lucrative contract that had convinced him to sign for the Indian outfit ahead of Turkish super league club Sivasspor FC who were also in the race.
The centre-back has plenty of experience in his career which saw him represent multiple Greek clubs like Vataniakos FC, A.O Glyfada, AO Chania FC, Panionios FC, and Atromitos FC where he last played. He also appeared for the popular Greek giants PAOK FC.
Along with playing in Greece, Dimitrios has also played abroad in Belgian club Cercle Brugge, and Turkish club Caykur Rizespor FC.
Punjab FC have also completed the signing of Madih Talal, a French midfielder of Moroccan descent. Madih had 10 goal contributions last season as he helped his team get promoted to the first division.
The 25-year-old started his career with Angers youth setup. Later he represented many other French clubs like Amiens, Entente SSG, Las Rozas CF, Red Star FC. His last stint was with Greek club A.E Kifisia FC.

A new challenge beckons for Punjab FC’s Greek coaching staff, manager Staikos Vergetis and technical director Nikolaos Topoliatis who will have a big challenge in the top flight of Indian football this season. They will surely want to make headlines by finishing in the top half of the league table.
