Sandesh Jhingan

Sandesh Jhingan was with the Kochi-based club from it’s inception and has played 76 matches in six years. However he could not play any matches because of his ACL injury which forced him to stay back from the pitch last season. The club officially confirmed the departure of the fans favourite player on May 21 and has also retired the jersey number 21, which Sandesh wore.

The Indian international was also rumoured to fly for trials in Germany and Scotland but chose to stay with the Kolkata giants, who was trying to rope in Jhingan from a very long time. ISL clubs like Odisha FC openly welcomed him to their arsenal, but he opted for the three time champions.
