One of the heroes for the last season of NorthEast United FC, Subhasish Roy Chowdhury is set to switch sides with his former club SC East Bengal, where he started his senior career.
Subhasish Roy Chowdhury was one of the lone warrior for NorthEast United FC during the last season, where he made an astonishingly 55 saves and 31 clearences in the 15 matches that he played.
Expectations were high from him this season as well but owning to an injury, he clocked only 226 mins in the 3 games he played conceding thrice and making only 1 save.He then couldn’t find his place in the starting 11 as the new NorthEast United FC gaffer Gerrard Nus showed his trust in young Gurmeet Singh Chahal. Not to forget that Nus always shows more trust on young players more.
It is learned that the loan deal of Dhreeraj Singh Moirangthem to SC East Bengal is unlikely to happen, which leads them to Subhasish Roy Chowdhury of NorthEast United FC.
When it comes to performance,SC East Bengal had been seriously underperforming which can be depicted by their position in the points table. One of the major factor is the set of keepers inexperienced in the ISL.Inclusion of Subhasish Roy Chowdhury will surely help them a lot.
