Shaan Hundal, the 21-year-old forward is all set to make a move to Fort Lauderdale CF, a club that plays in the USL League 1 – the third tier of American soccer and is owned by David Beckham.
The Toronto born footballer traces his roots all the way to India. Hundal is of Punjabi descent as the son of Indian parents who immigrated to Canada when they were younger. He grew up playing the game and was identified early for his skills.
Having plied his trade for the Canadian National Team in the age group levels, Shaan had made his professional debut back in 2016 for Toronto FC III and has been climbing up the ladder ever since.
Shaan later went on to play for Ottawa Fury FC as a loanee where he was also lauded as one of the best youngsters in the USL Championship. Consequently he joined Valour FC in the Canadian Premier League for the 2021 season.
Fort Lauderdale CF will be the next destination of the Indian origin player, as he eyes a place in the American League. A special talking point, the club is owned by footballing legend, David Beckham who also has the MLS club Inter Miami to his name.
