I-League- Sudeva set to sign Akashdeep Singh from Minerva Punjab

I-League’s new entrant Sudeva FC are leaving no stones unturned in building a top quality squad for the upcoming season. After reports of Kean Lewis joining the club emerged, Sairuat Kima and Pintu Mahata also followed suit. Now IFTWC can confirm that Sudeva are set to sign Akashdeep Singh 2020-21 season.

Akashdeep Singh has been playing as a left-back for Minerva Punjab for quite a few seasons now. He was a part of the I-League winning team of Minerva Punjab and also played in the AFC Champions League Qualification match. He also represented the team in the AFC Cup last year. Akashdeep can also play on the other flank and comes across as a versatile player.

The Punjab-born defender started his career with Indian Arrows and was roped in by Minerva Punjab shortly. He played in the I-League second division too with them and won the league in the 2017-18 season. This experience will surely help Sudeva as having a reliable figure like Akashdeep will help the club at the back. According to sources, he will he joining them for one year.

Sudeva are going to play the I-League for the first time this season, becoming the first club from Delhi to play in the league. The club will be fielding an all Indian playing XI, and signings like this one will definitely help the club going forward.
