East Bengal are set to sign Surchandra Singh from Mumbai City FC.
The 26 years old Manipuri midfielder, Surchandra has played for various I League clubs in his professional career. He made his I League debut for DSK Shivajians. Before joining Shivajians, he appeared for Langsning. He moved to Churchill Brothers in 2016. Surchandra made his big move in 2017 when he joined Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan.
Surchandra’s stint with Real Kashmir was a successful one. He also scored 3 goals for the team from the Valley. After sting of impressive performances with Real Kashmir, Mumbai City FC signed him. Surchandra failed to get playing time under Jorge Costa in the Hero ISL.
East Bengal have appointed Robbie Fowler as their new head coach. They have also roped in Scott Neville on loan from Brisbane Roar. They have been linked with couple of A League players as well. It will be interesting to see how things pan out for the Kolkata giants, who will be making their ISL debut this season.
