The 26-year-old Manipuri left-back Tondonba Singh Ngasepam will lay out his services to NorthEast United FC for the upcoming iteration of the Indian Super League.

The 26-year-old left-back did his youth career at NEROCA. At the age of 16, he made his senior debut in the Manipur State League. He proceeded to play for the club in the I-League 2nd Division, where he was a member of the team that was promoted to the I-League, India’s top league.

Tondonba Singh made his professional debut for the club in the year 2017 and went on to represent them in every match thereafter, to see themselves finish second in their top-flight debut season.

In 2018/19, he moved to and represented Chennaiyin FC for 19 matches from 2018 to 2020. Later in 2020, he moved to Mumbai City FC, representing a single match for them.

The player has quite a good experience playing in the Indian Super League and will be a good addition to the NorthEast United FC squad, for which, as revealed by IFTWC, Khalid Jamil will be leading the squad. Joe Zoherliana, T.V. Mohammed Irshad and Justin George have also joined NorthEast United FC on long-term contracts, as revealed by IFTWC.

Khassa Camara has signed a contract extension with the club, and Deshorn Brown is also expected to do the same. Dylan Fox is still in negotiations with the club about his extension. Former Mumbai City FC player Hernan Santana has also signed a contract with NorthEast United FC. Mathias Coureur has also signed a contract with the club. The club is actively looking for a replacement for Apuia and might as well sign a backup goalkeeper due to the departure of Gurmeet Singh.
