Berbatov’s transfer to the Kerala Blasters FC created a huge buzz around. The Bulgarian striker who has played over 350 matches in the Premier League and over 200 matches in the Bundesliga was indeed a huge name for the ISL outfit. Berbatov has notably represented Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester United, Fulham, Tottenham and Fulham. He has also been named as the footballer of the year for mammoth 7 times back in Bulgaria.

He had a great outing with the ISL outfit as he played with them for two seasons which were 2014 and 2015 respectively.

The Brazilian worldcupper was crucial in CFC’s triumph at the 2015 edition of the ISL as they ended the season with the title.
