Ulises Davila (Wellington Pheonix)

The former Mexican youth international and Chelsea attacker is the next name on our list. The name Ulises Davila might be familiar for Indian Super League fans as he has donned the colors of Delhi Dynamos previously. Davila was signed by the Dynamos in 2019 for free in the January transfer window. Davila’s stay in the capital was short-lived as his contract wasn’t extended. Wellington Gaffer Ufuk Talay was quick to rope in the Mexican Maestro and got rewarded big time as Davila fit right into the team’s system.
Davila is a dangerous dribbler who beats defenders with ease. His close control and curling shots are his most known qualities apart from his dribbling. He has been sensational for Wellington contributing highly on both goals and assists. He has 7 goals and 5 assists from 21 games in the current A-League season and is one of the best A-League players whose contract will expire in the summer.
Davila initially signed a two-year contract with Wellington which expires in June. But if any Indian Super League clubs are interested to secure his signature they better act fast as the Wellington management reportedly has started negotiations for a new deal with Ulises Davila.
