5. Nongdamba Naorem(Kerala Blasters)
Nongdamba Naorem, an exciting talent, is a product of the Minerva Punjab youth team. The Manipur born lad prefers playing as a winger and is one of the youngsters who was selected for India to play in the prestigious U-17 FIFA World Cup. He also scored the equalizer for India U17 vs Chile U17 in a friendly match in Mexico before the FIFA U17 World Cup in India. After the World Cup, he was sent on loan to Indian arrows so that he gets proper playing time. He made his professional debut for Arrows against the Chennai City FC.
A month later, Naorem scored his first professional goal of his career against Shillong Lajong. He took the ball to the wing and then after beating Lajong defenders mercilessly he put the ball past the goalkeeper as Indian arrows won 3-0. After one season he caught the eye of Kerala Blasters who offered him to play for their B side in I-League 2nd division where he scored one goal. However, he announced himself when he was sent to Mohun Bagan, where he scored 2 goals in the league and won the season with them, but more than that, he was delightful to watch. Soon he will be seen playing in the wings for Kerala Blasters FC in the next season of ISL.
