The season came to an end with 295 goals being scored in 115 matches and with Mumbai being top on the goal scoring charts with 39 goals. 5. Aridane Santana

Aridane Santana was arguably one of the best and most important player for Hyderabad FC in the recently concluded Indian Super League season. He was signed by Hyderabad FC from Odisha FC expecting a healthy return of goals, which is exactly what he delivered for Manuel Roca’s side. He finished as the highest goalscorer for Hyderabad FC this season and the 5th highest goalscorer in the league by bagging 10 goals and also providing a couple of assists.

He played a crucial role for the Nizams by playing several roles like number 9, false 9 and at times dropping back and playing through balls to the onrushing midfielders and wingers. The Hyderabad captain didn’t just score goals but also played a crucial role in building up the play and winning the ball back, he gave 526 passes this season averaging almost 30 passes a game with passing accuracy above 50%. The striker also has 16 interceptions, 18 clearances and has also made 41 tackles this season.
