Le Fondre has played every single game for Mumbai City FC this season and was one of the main reasons for their success.

The striker had an amazing season with exceptional stats. He had 45 shots, 11 goals, 1 assist, 587 touches and 453 passes with a passing accuracy of 58.71%. This made him a deadly striker is his positioning in front of goal. The 34 year old is a defender’s nightmare and extremely menacing when he is inside the box. The Brazilian was the best player for Odisha FC this season. They were heavily dependent on him for getting their goals and points. Diego played for Odisha in all of their 20 matches this season. Mauricio had 52 shots on goal this season scoring 12 of them with a conversion rate of 23% and having a G/A ratio of 0.6 per match. Diego finished this season as the top goal scorer of Odisha FC and 3rd highest goalscorer in the ISL.

Diego Mauricio is clinical in front of goal with his amazing shooting ability, his stout physique, accurate finishing and fiery pace. He was the find of the season for Odisha FC. Despite having a lot of pressure on him Diego Mauricio performed outstandingly well. A player of Marcelinho’s calibre was being regularly benched by the coach which added more responsibility in the shoulders of the former Brazil Youth International. However, Diego dealt with all the responsibilities really well and was one of the best player’s in the ISL this season. His best performance was against Jamshedpur FC where he scored 2 wonderful goals to make the game a draw bringing Odisha FC back into the game when they were down 2-0.
