Gary Hooper
Hooper joined Kerala Blasters FC as he became yet another A league player to join the Indian Super League. The 32 year old striker comes with a plethora of experience from the English soils.
The Englishman barged into the limelight as he netted in 40+ goals in his 80 appearances for the Scunthorpe United FC over a 2 year stint. This earned him a move to the Scottish giants, Celtic.
He bettered his record at Celtic as he scored 63 goals in 95 appearances for the celts. He went on to play for a couple of English clubs namely, Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City before flying down to the A league. After scoring 8 goals in 21 appearances for the Wellington Phoenix, Hooper would be eyeing to incline his career trajectory with the Blasters.
Adam Le Fondre
Rated as one of the best signings of the season, Adam le Fondre was signed on loan by Mumbai City FC. Le Fondre was a very demanded player throughout the transfer window owing to his stellar performances late off playing for the Sydney FC.
The 33 year old striker has a very diversified resume as he has plied his trade for numerous distinguished English clubs like the Wolverhampton and Wigan. He piled up 39 goals in just 57 games during his stint at Sydney that ensued him grabbing eyeballs of the MCFC management.
Alfie as he is fondly know, will be definitely looking forward to make the most out of this loan spell with the Islanders.
