They were involved in a three-way battle to become the champions of India but unfortunately, they fell in the final hurdle. On a brighter note, they have unearthed some great players who have the potential to play at the country’s highest level. 26-year-old Phalguni Singh is one of those players who can play at the highest level. The Manipuri midfielder scored 3 crucial goals and provided 1 assist and most importantly he led his side into a third-place finish in the I-League table. Phalguni Singh is extremely good on the ball and fast in his movements. He effectively carries the ball forward and also shields his defenders from the opponent’s menacing attacks. With the Indian Super League reducing the number of foreigners in the starting eleven from next season Phalguni can be an amazing pickup for any Indian Super League side.
