One of the finest midfielders in the league, Ahmed Jahouh, joined the ISL as an established player in Morocco. He won the Morrocan league twice with Moghreb Tétouan, coached by current Mumbai City FC coach Sergio Lobera. In 2017, Ahmed Jahouh joined FC Goa. This created a new-look midfield and soon, it got settled with the likes of Edu Bedia and Hugo Boumous.

A natural ball player, Jahouh donned the defensive midfield position with his play. The ability to find spaces and to pick out the right pass comes in handy for him. He won back to back ISL winner’s shield for FC Goa and Mumbai City FC. He joined Mumbai City FC last season and was one of their key players in their title-winning campaign. Overall, for both FC Goa and Mumbai City FC, he has made 71 appearances with 1 goal and 12 assists.

Marcelinho has had a wide range of experience in Indian football as the Brazilian has played for 5 Indian clubs in five seasons. Having started his career with the reserve teams of La Liga clubs like Atletico Madrid and Getafe, Marcelinho then moves to Greece, where he played top division football with Skoda Xanthi and Atromitos. Finally, he joined Delhi Dynamos in 2016, where he scored 10 goals and made 5 assists in just 15 games. A player with quick feet and brilliant technical ability, he was always among the goals for all his teams.

He has made 79 appearances combined for all the teams he played in the ISL, scoring 33 goals and bagging 18 assists. Apart from Delhi Dynamos, he played for Pune City FC, Hyderabad FC, Odisha FC and ATK Mohun Bagan. Though he has returned to Brazil to play for Esporte Clube Taubaté, Marcelinho didn’t rule out a potential return to India in the future.
