Vicente Gomez (Kerala Blasters FC) –

The defensive-midfielder was born in Las Palmas in Spain. After completing his youth football education from AD Huracan, he later joined Las Palmas B side for a season of 2009-10. He was promoted to the senior team in 2010. At the end of the 2014-15 campaign of Las Palmas, the club clinched the promotion to La Liga. In the following season, he made his debut in the Spanish top-flight league on 22nd August 2015. In his 8 years period with the club till 2018, he made 223 appearances mainly functioning as a link between defenders and forwards.

Before signing for Kerala Blasters, he was a regular starter for the last two seasons at Deportivo Coruna which competes in the Segunda Division of Spain. Gomez will have an important role in the club’s performance. Interestingly, the Las Palmas teammates Hernan Santana and Vicente Gomez will be rivals in ISL.

Joao Victor (Hyderabad FC) –

Victor commenced his career with the Brazilian team Nautico in 2005. Between 2007 to 2009, he spent a year long stint with Sao Caetano and Treze FC each in the Brazilian football league. Playing for FC Bunyodkor in the 2009-10 season he helped the team to win Uzbekistan Super League. A big turnover came in 2010, as he signed for La Liga club RCD Mallorca. He made 97 appearances in his five-year spell with the club. In 2015, he joined Cypriot first division club Anorthosis Famagusta FC where he scored 18 goals and 2 assists in 128 matches. 31-year-old Victor has also plied his trade in Qatar Stars League and Greek Super League before joining Hyderabad FC.
