The new entrants of the Himachal State League of HPFA, Techtro Swades United FC, signs the 20-year-old versatile defender Anwar Ali after naming Yan Law as their head coach for the Himachal State League.

Anisa Anwar Ali is a youth product of Minerva Punjab and has been a part of Minerva Punjab, Indian Arrows, Mumbai City FC and Mohammedan SC. He has also been a part of India’s under-17, under-20 and under-23 teams as well. Ali represented the India under-17 side which participated in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup which was hosted in India. He scored the winning goal in the 2-1 win against Argentina under-20 national football team in 2018 Cotif Cup.

One of the widely known major downfall in the footballers career was that around a year ago, Anwar Ali was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which questioned the player’s future in the sport. He was advised by the doctors not to continue with the sport.

Asian Football Confederation (AFC) recommended that Ali ‘should be restricted from competitive sports activity’ because the condition the player is suffering from could cause cardiac arrest.

Ali, in a social media post, said, “Please don’t take football away from me, I won’t survive. Football is everything for me. I don’t know anything else. Football has given me a lot.” However, in his appeal, the 20-year-old Ali said that after a check-up his doctor had told him that his condition was “low risk”.

In considerable relief to Anwar Ali, the Delhi High Court allowed him to continue playing until a final decision is taken by the national federation.

Techtro Swades United Football Club, based in Una, Himachal Pradesh, is an Indian professional football club. The club competes in the Himachal Football League. Formed on 29 August 2020, the club is set to launch its first competitive season in the Himachal Football League with Yan Law as their head coach.
