The infamous Kerala Blasters management has made yet another development which is sure to create a rift among the fans. It is reported that club legend, Sandesh Jhingan, is all set to part ways with Kerala Blasters.

The emerging player of 2014, Jhingan has been a rock for Kerala Blasters since their inception. He was with Blasters for 6 long years, where he made 76 appearances for them. But that’s not it. Jhingan was always vocal about staying at the club for long, and he was a fan favourite, but it looks like the club management has different plans.

It was never a secret that Kerala Blasters were suffering from lack of funds, but now it is more evident than ever. It is being said that players were asked to take pay cuts, and Jhingan wasn’t too fond of this idea.

With Jhingan leaving, rumours are surfacing that Jhingan is sought after by ISL clubs ATK and Mumbai City FC, both clubs not lacking financially. The man from Punjab is a vital asset for any clubs he plays for, and his transfer could be one of the biggest Indian football will see in recent times.

But here’s where things get even more interesting. According to goal.com, Jhingan is also set to give trials abroad.

After the AFC Asian Cup 2019, it was rumoured that Jhingan had attracted interest from Qatari clubs, and it looks like it might not be completely false. It is how being said that he could also be making a move to West Asia, where opportunities for him to grow are available in abundance.

It is yet to be seen what the future holds. But one thing is for certain- it looks gloomy for Blasters, and fan could be staring towards worse times.
