Kerala Blasters are undoubtedly one of the most supported clubs in the ISL, but they have surely struggled immensely to get results and there are many reasons for that as well.
Kerala Blasters have never been fragile in terms of investments in signing quality players but it is also true that big names and money don’t fetch you trophies, wins do and they have failed to get results even after signing many good coaches and players in the past few years.
Kerala Blasters have appointed 9 coaches in 6 seasons of ISL, which is the most by any Indian club. Although none of them have been able to deliver what they were expected to, we take a look at where all the former coaches of Kerala Blasters are right now.
Peter Taylor
Peter Taylor is an experienced English coach who has managed some big teams like Leicester City, Crystal Palace, Bradford City, and many more. He also managed teams like England Under 19 National Team before coming to Kerala and that created a lot of buzz among all the Kerala Blasters fans.
Still, he wasn’t able to deliver what he was expected to. After a series of 4 defeats in a row, Taylor decided to leave Kerala Blasters and accepted the offer to become assistant to Antony Hudson with the New Zealand National football team. In May 2017 he was appointed as director of football at Gillingham, alongside his New Zealand duties.
Taylor is currently without a club. The last club he managed was Dagenham & Redbridge with 30.86% win percentage with them.
