According to reports, FC Goa are set rope in Lamine Sane from FC Utrecht. Lamine who’s born in France has played for Senegalese National team 31 times. Lamine plays as central defender and is known for his aerial abilities. He stands 6’5″ Ft. tall. His younger brother Salif Sane also played for Senegalese National team.
In his early days, he turned out for french club RCO Agde. After having impressive season with them, He signed a 3 year deal with french top division side FC Bordeaux.
Lamine was playing for FC Bordeaux reserves untill he impressed Laurent Blanc who was the head coach of the main team. He made his debut against FC Bayern Munich in the Champions League. He spent around 7 Years at the french club and made his name.
He moved to Bundesliga side Werder Bremen in 2016. He was a regular starter for them. But in January 2018, Club released him as he was absent in training sessions without valid reasons.
He moved to Orlando City FC in February 2018. Orlando City FC play in the Major Soccer League. Sane was injured in the first season with the Orlando City FC where the club set a new record of most goals conceded in a MSL season. But the very next season, They conceded the least amount of goals and Lamine was one of the best player for them that season.

Lamine signed for FC Utrecht in February. The Dutch club plays in the top division of the country. He made only one appearance for them as the Dutch league was later kept on hold because of the pandemic.
As reports suggest, Mourtada Fall is all set to follow footsteps of Sergio Lobera and join the Islanders from the Gaurs. With the amount of experience Lamine has, he can be a perfect replacement of Mourtada Fall at the back. Having a strong defensive line will be a key for FC Goa as they will be facing one of the best forwards of Asia in the AFC Champions League. As per the rumours, FC Goa are set to complete his signing soon. It will be one of the high profile signing in the next season.
FC Goa are also said to have signed Iranian center back Rouzbeh Cheshmi. Rouzbeh plays Esteghlal and the Iran national team. Rouzbeh played in the 2018 World Cup and played full match against Morocco. FC Goa will be solid at the back if these 2 defender pen a deal with them.
