Exclusive | Manchester City legend Yaya Toure in talks with multiple ISL clubs

Yaya Toure, Man City legend, might be on his way to India soon.

In what might be one of the biggest signings in Indian Football, Manchester City and Ivory Coast legend Yaya Toure is in talks with multiple ISL clubs, according to our sources.

Yaya has played 230 matches over a span of eight years. The midfielder has scored 62 goals for City and also assisted 32 times. Yaya has won the Premier League three times- in the 2011-12, 2013-14 and 2017-18 season.

The Ivory Coast legend has 101 caps for his country and has won the 2005 African Cup Of Nations, also playing in the FIFA World Cup.

Jamshedpur FC is leading the race as of yet, but the talks are in early stages. Jamshedpur are already rumoured to have signed Owen Coyle as their gaffer, who had a dream run with Chennaiyin last season.

Yaya Toure can be a huge addition to any team, not just in terms of football on the field. Being a world renowned footballer, a lot of attention will be brought to any club which signs him. Yaya last played for Chinese Super League club Qingdao Huanghai.

The ISL has seen quite a lot of marquee players in the past, including Luis Garcia, Alessandro Del Piero, Nicolas Anelka, Tim Cahill and Asamoah Gyan, and there’s a possibility Yaya could be the latest one on this list.
