Gerard Nus – We are focusing on 90 minutes on the field with a positive and winning mentality

-

Ahead of the match against Chennaiyin FC, NorthEast United FC head-coach Gerard Nus and Goalkeeper Subhasish Roy Chaudhari spoke to media in a pre-match digital press conference.

Upon asked how NorthEast United FC are ready to encounter Chennaiyin FC, Nus said, “We know Chennaiyin FC is a tough team to compete with. We have seen them fighting for the win and they are good at creating chances. Chennaiyin FC has made good recruitments who are best in their positions. We are focusing on 90 minutes with a positive and winning mentality. As a team, it is also important that we minimize mistakes. We don’t know what their lineup will be, but we are ready to face the challenge with our plan. As a team, we are still working on minor details.”

“Not only Chennaiyin FC but before facing other teams, we analyze the opponents and we study them. Also, we consider our style of play to be implemented in the field. There is no easy team in the league. Everybody wants to win and we have seen that in previous matches.”

Crivellaro of Chennaiyin FC have played a vital role in the attacking midfield area, speaking of him, Nus quoted, “Crivellaro is a player possessing attacking mindset. He makes passes very accurately and he is well known for creating chances.”

Goalkeeper Subhasish Chaudhari expressed his views about the team mentality and said, “Everybody on and off the field is giving their best to prove themselves. We all know that if we perform well in matches and also in training, the coach gets known about who deserves the spot in the
starting eleven. Unfortunately, fans aren’t there to cheer up us but we are positive and looking forward to a good season.
