Gokulam kerala FC appointed Vincenzo Alberto Annese as their new gaffer.
Annese, who holds a UEFA pro licence to his name is also a certified athletic trainer, who has experience in Asia with Indonesian premier league side PSIS Semarang and Palestine club Al – khaleel, in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Apart from this, he was the head coach for Bechem United, in the Ghanaian premier league,who were runners of the league in the year 2016 under his coaching.
He has worked with the Italian National Olympic Committee in 2013 as an instructor.
The 35 year old started his coaching carrier back in 2010 with Italian third division side S.S Fidelis Andria’s youth team.
“I am delighted to be part of GKFC family. My aim is to make the fans happy and make them dream big. I have already seen how GKFC have played last season and I believe the squad can reach new heights,” said Vincenzo Alberto Annese.
The former Belize national team coach is replacing Fernado Santiago verela, who gained them their maiden national title, The Durand cup last year, defeating Mohun Bagan, however things didn’t go well for them in the Ileague.
“The coach brings considerable international experience to the club. He is young and has already accomplished several achievements. He is the most experience coach we had so far. We believe that he would be able to bring more trophies and glory to Kerala,” said Gokulam Gopalan, the chairman of Gokulam Kerala FC.
The club is yet to win their maiden Ileague title and under Annese, ‘the new way’ might bring Gokulam their first title home.
