ISL- Naorem Mahesh Singh joins SC East Bengal on loan

IFTWC can confirm that SC East Bengal has agreed to sign Naorem Mahesh Singh on a loan deal from Kerala Blasters.

The 22-year-old forward was a part of the Shillong Lajong senior team in 2018, after graduating from their own academy. In his first campaign with Shillong, he netted four goals and recorded three assists. The talented youngster was a regular for Shillong Lajong that season, featuring in as many as 20 games. Relegation at the end of the season forced Naorem Mahesh to switch clubs, joining Kerala Blasters reserves on loan.

A few months later, he signed with Kerala Blasters senior team and was loaned to Sudeva Delhi FC in the I-League. Naorem Mahesh was an integral part of Sudeva, appearing in the majority of their matches. He recorded two goals and two assists as well. Currently with a stacked forward department, Kerala has once again loaned out Naorem, this time to their compatriots, SC East Bengal.

With the signings of Subho Ghosh, Jackichand Singh, Songpu Singsit, Romeo Fernandes and now Naorem Mahesh, East Bengal has largely sorted out their forward department. With little time left to assemble a competitive team for next season, East Bengal find themselves running against the clock in their pursuit of transfer market success.
