Kerala Blasters FC and FC Goa shared a point each today at Bambolim as the scoreline remained 1-1. FC Goa’s Ortiz and Rahul KP for Kerala scored a goal each while FC Goa defender Ivan Gonzalez was sent off as he received a red card.
Kerala Blasters FC head-coach addressed the media in the post-match press conference and shared his thoughts about the match and said,
“Today FC Goa played well in the first half. Our strategy was not to defend all the time but they had the ball. I think in the second half we were the better team. We had very good chances in the last minute of the game.”
“We wanted 3 points but we at least have one. It was indeed a very strange game. Also, it was a tricky game even FC Goa had 10 men they were fast and very good in counter-attack,” he added.
The Spaniard quoted,
“For me Goa is a fantastic team. They are improving and getting better more. We were closer to the 3 points today.”
Commenting about the motivation and positiveness in the team,
“I think we are improving and have a dream to make our place in playoffs. We have to keep going and try to prepare ourselves as best as possible for upcoming games.”
Rahul and Jeakson will miss the next match as they have 4 yellow cards in their tally now. Addressing the same, Vicuna said,
“Rahul is performing very well and also a very dangerous player. So we will see this issue as we will have some other players who will recover from minor injuries.”
